The Landlord Lock Service was a wonderful find for me. I can order my locks from home and have them in 2-3 days usually. They are very strong locks...my husband saw them and now wants them in OUR home. I especially like the ease of simply changing out cylinders with a control key instead of changing the entire locks when tenants move out.
I recently ordered one of Ernie's new "Fancy" handles for a house I'm rehabbing for retail. I was very pleased, and am planning to use these again on some of my nicer rentals.
The best part of Ernie's service is SUPPORT. If I have had ANY question or problem, Ernie cheerfully helps me immediately. In one case I thought I had broken a lock attempting to install it...he knew exactly what the problem was and told me over the phone how to fix it. Another time I had a problem with a defective part. Ernie immediately put me in touch with the manufacturer who shipped an entire replacement lock right away.
I couldn't be more pleased with the Landlord Lock Service, and recommend it to all property owners/managers.

We too have been using Ernie's lock system and are very pleased with the ease of changing out the cylinders when a tenant vacates a property. We have been gradually converting all of our units to Titan locks as the tenants vacate the property. It is a real pleasure to only carry one master key to enter the units rather that a bag full of keys. Also, since Ernie keeps records of all of my locks, I can just call him and order additional keys or additional cylinders as needed.

I've been converting everything over to Ernie's system. It works great for all the reasons others described above. In addition, the other features I've taken advantage of are:
I have padlocks on storage rooms where tenants have a key and my master will open it.
I've ordered locks for common entrances keyed such that the tenants apartment keys also open the entrance doors without requiring separate keys.
Last but not least, my maintenance men, plumber, electrican, etc carry what Ernie calls a contractor key. All common entrances and basement locks have been keyed such that the contractor key opens those locks.

My Husband and I use Ernie's locks and they are an answer to a prayer. No more box of keys to carry around. One key fits all of our rentals and it's a breeze to change locks anymore. No more fumbling. Just change the tumbler.
Ernie is our guy!!!!
